Should You Visit Healthcare Providers Who Wear AirPods and Activity Trackers? These Devices Emit Harmful Radiation

By B.N. Frank

“Junk Food” provides countless examples of products that are legal to sell even though there are health risks associated with them.  Of course, consumers may choose not to buy or eat “Junk Food.”

“Smart” and wireless wearables provide more examples of products that are legal to sell even though there are health and privacy risks associated with them.  So should you be concerned about medical workers examining you or your loved ones while wearing these devices (see 1, 2, 3), let alone trust them to give you accurate medical advice (see 1, 2, 3, 4)?

AirPods, inserted inside ears, emit high levels of harmful radiation which can increase cancer risk, disrupt the blood-brain barrier (see 1, 2, 3), as well as cause undesirable symptoms and illnesses including “Microwave Sickness” also referred to as “EMF Sensitivity”(see 1, 2, 3) “Electromagnetic Sensitivity” and “Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity.”  There have also been reports about them catching fire and complaints that they are NOT recyclable.

There are health (see 1, 2, 3) and also serious privacy risks (see 1, 2, 3) associated with Activity Trackers (Apple Watches, Fitbits, etc.).

When health experts choose to wear these devices, they also choose the risks associated with them.  When they wear them while treating patients, they are also choosing to expose their patients to these risks.  It’s up to patients to decide whether or not to continue paying for their services.
