As crime in New York City continues to spike, random, unprovoked attacks are growing more common. While there are constantly stories coming out about violence happening throughout the city, a very bizarre incident occurred on NYC’s subway over the weekend.
A group of females, all wearing head-to-toe neon green bodysuits, ran onto a subway and robbed two 19-year-old girls, physically assaulting them in the process.
The mother of one of the victims spoke to the New York Post about the attack, saying that her daughter and a friend were “literally just standing to get on the train” when grown women in strange green outfits approached them. After boarding the train, the green-clad gang attacked her daughter.
“There was a woman with red curly hair, and she was helping [the victims]. And there was a man who took his sweatshirt off and helped the girls. He got hit,” the mother said. “My daughter, she had like five of the girls on her at one time. [She and her friend] were both punched in the face.”

Angry that many people stood by and recorded the attack without intervening, the mother said, “All these men sitting there taking videos and watching, and none of them helped while a group of 10 women were beating two young girls.”
“She’s in excruciating pain,” the mom said about her daughter, who has been getting chest X-rays and CAT scans to assess the injuries sustained from the attack.
The mother detailed some of the injuries her daughter has, saying, “When she breathes, it hurts. In one video, you can see the one girl kicked her… One of them bit her shoulder. She has a bite mark through her clothes.”
The other teenage victim’s mom reported that her daughter has been “vomiting… from the concussion” she got from the attack.
NYC’s soft-on-crime policies are encouraging attacks like these because the assailants risk little in their acts of aggression.
